Wallace Subaru of Johnson City presented a donation of $27,250 to Niswonger Children’s Hospital

JOHNSON CITY, TN, UNITED STATES, June 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wallace Subaru of Johnson City presented a donation of $27,250 to Niswonger Children’s Hospital during a recent check presentation ceremony, celebrating a community-driven fundraising effort that will help support pediatric care across the region.

The funds were raised during the dealership’s annual Subaru Share The Love Campaign. From November 20, 2025 to January 2, 2026, Subaru of America and Wallace Subaru of Johnson City combined to donate $375 for each customer purchasing a new Subaru from Wallace Subaru of Johnson City.

The funds will support a variety of initiatives at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, including expanded services, specialized pediatric equipment, family support programs, and the hospital’s ongoing neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) expansion.

Chris Jett, chief executive officer of the Niswonger Children’s Network, praised the community members and dealership customers whose support made the donation possible. “Everything we do at the Children’s Hospital is fueled by partnerships with our community and donations through our community,” he said. “These donations help in the immediate, but they also help for years to come,” Jett said. “We’re able to provide equipment that will provide not just for one patient, but patient after patient after patient, family after family. We’re making differences today, but also for our future.”

For Wallace Subaru General Manager T.C. Baker, the hospital’s mission is especially meaningful on a personal level. His son receives care through the hospital’s St. Jude affiliate program, giving him firsthand experience with the importance of having specialized pediatric care available close to home. “We’ve been going there since he was about 6 months old, and if it wasn’t for this location in Johnson City, we’d have to go to Knoxville or Roanoke,” he said. “It does have a special place in my heart.”
